I'm writing a reading summary when my phone rings. I look down and it's an old friend from college with whom I have not spoken in years. I get excited to hear from him.

Me: "Hello!"
Muffled speaking: "...need to pick it up in 15 minutes."
Me: "Hello?"
More muffled speaking: "...that kind of food...."
Me: "Hello..."
And more muffled speaking: "...lunch..."
Me: "Hmph."

I hate getting my hopes up for a phone call when it just ends up being from random buttons accidentally pushed on a cell phone in a pocket.
