mix and match

My housemate’s mother and brother are visiting Japan right now. I met his brother briefly yesterday, but not really long enough to form a lasting impression. This was very apparent today when brother came down to the kitchen all bundled up to leave and I mistook him for my housemate. How was I supposed to know it was Larry and not Eddie? They have the same voice and are apparently twins. Once again I feel like that American who can’t tell Asians apart.
