english is my native language

You know you’ve been teaching English too long when:

1. Saying, “See you!” seems more natural than “See ya!”
2. You let pass sentences that sound strange because you don’t feel like explaining how something grammatically correct is actually wrong.
3. Those same sentences start to sound normal.
4. You have created three new verses to “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes” and the children want a fourth.
5. “Go Fish” are the two most terrible words you can hear put together.
6. Someone asks, “How are you?” and you automatically drone, “Fine, thank you. And you?”
