Mayo and I leave on a weeklong road trip in about twenty minutes. We’re heading to Minneapolis to see our Fulbright friend by way of Chicago and my grandmother’s brother’s son’s house. From there we go north to a lake cottage in Wisconsin where I will leave Mayo with our friend and go back down to Milwaukee and the dunes before returning home next week.
I think this is my first official roadtrip that is not a family vacation, a drive from point A to point B, or a “moving all my stuff” run. We’ve got cookies, music, a full tank of gas, and enough maps to supply an army. I think we’re good.
