My Chinese homework translates roughly into this story. The title given in English is “The Exorcism: One Woman’s Revenge.”

There was a man of the kingdom of Yen named Li. He liked to travel long distances. [While he was gone] his wife privately had intercourse with another gentleman. Li came home unexpectedly. The gentleman was in the inner chambers. Li’s wife was worried about the situation. Her chamber maid said, “Tell the young lord to get naked and let loose his hair. Have him leave from the gate. We will pretend like we do not see him.” Following this plan, the young lord ran out of the gate. Li said, “Who is that person?” Everyone in the household replied, “What person?” Li said, “Have I seen a ghost?” His wife answered, “Yes.” He said, “What am I to do about this?” She advised, “Take the excrement of the five sacrificial animals and bathe in it.” Li replied, “Yes, I will bathe in excrement.”
