My landlord decided that Thanksgiving break would be the best time to repaint half of our walls and ceilings. He also decided that Thanksgiving break would begin today, effectively kicking us out of our house two days early and sending us to sleep on a friend’s floor.
In preparation for paint splatterings, we cleaned up and moved a bunch of our furniture. In the process, we collected all of the cat toys scattered around the house and put them in the closet. We have finally accepted the fact that Banjo, our very smart and lovable cat, will not be coming back to us.
