cube my soy


Only in Japan would a major food company produce candy made from soy. The package says, “Made with 50% soy milk, a natural source of the good qualities of protein and isoflavone. A made-from-plants, healthy soft candy.”

I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to eat something sweet (I hoped) that claimed to be good for me, so I bought a pack. I was pleasantly surprised by the mildness of the tofu flavor and the sufficient sugar content. This “adult candy” won’t supplant my favorite soft candies, Hi-Chu, but I might consider trying the strawberry and melon versions in the future.
