No one of my generation probably knows what Burma Shave signs are, but the Champaign County Rifle Association has resurrected this style of progressive highway signs to try to convince the people of Illinois how great guns are. I saw these while traveling across the state this weekend:
tyrants and crooks
love gun control
unarmed victims
are their goal
if a safe society
is what you seek
it won't happen
disarming the meek
when gun control
has us beat
criminals will
own the street
All end with the URL gunssavelife.com, a sentence I consider to be contradictory to the actual purpose of guns - that is, to kill things.
