Hypothesis:
Peeps explode when microwaved.

Apparatus:
1 ceramic plate, 1 yellow Peep, 1 microwave.

Method:
Place Peep on plate. Place plate in microwave. Turn on microwave for four minutes.

Data and Observations:
15 seconds - Peep has increased in size.
30 seconds - Peep has doubled in size.
40 seconds - Bottom of Peep begins to brown.
47 seconds - Bottom of Peep begins to blacken and smoke.
52 seconds - Experiment terminated due to fear of fire.

20 seconds after removal from the microwave, the inflated Peep begins to fall. 40 seconds after removal, it has become flat and the outer layer is hard. It tastes like cotton candy.

Outcome:
Inconclusive.
We know Peeps expand, but we still don't know if they will eventually explode when microwaved.
