I planted a garden yesterday in the area my landlord designated. I put in

tomato
cherry tomato
banana pepper
lemon basil
leek
cucumber

and marigolds to keep away bugs. Then I watched my garden plot all day and realized that it gets about five minutes of sun. I'm hoping that the incredible central Illinois dirt and the thousands of worms in it will stimulate some sort of growth in my beautiful little plants.
