the falls and beyond

After Michigan, we went up to Fergus, Ontario (an hour south of Toronto) for a ridiculous Ultimate frisbee tournament/carnival. The Ultimate part was mostly rained out, but we made the most of muddy Canada, and had a good time.

We got to Niagara Falls on a Sunday night, just in time for the mediocre seven-minute fireworks show over the falls. More enjoyable was the fact that we had brought our bicycles and parked a fair distance away, allowing us a leisurely ride through Queen Victoria Park along the falls.

We didn't stay long the next morning, because it was just a giant tourist trap. Instead, we wandered along the shore of Lake Eerie, stopping at an old fort, a winery, and Cleveland. And let me tell you, if you ever get to Cleveland, go to Melt Bar and Grilled. Go and eat the most ridiculous grilled cheese concoctions your brain could never imagine.
