summertime

The Fourth of July has come and gone, but this grasshopper can't get enough of the American flag. The summer heat and all its buggy friends are frequent visitors to our house, but so far they are leaving the garden alone. The chamomile and rhubarb are on their way out, but the oregano, basil, dill, and mint are happy as can be. The leeks and cherry tomatoes are plugging along as well. I'm just waiting for my CSA to deliver some beets, and I'll be very happy!
