I thought my doctor was trying to promote optimism when he told me that I'd be able to see the clock in the operating room as soon as I got up from surgery. He was not. I could see it. Craziness.
Until I'm back to normal, though, I get to sport these fancy taped-on eye protectors whenever I sleep, and sunglasses when I'm awake. I'm going to have a stylish weekend.
