Alpine in the summer

Last fall, Britt gave me about 15 alpine strawberry plants of different varieties and ages. I overwintered them as best as I good, and I guess I did something right, because they are producing quite a few tiny white alpine strawberries!

These berries are smaller, whiter, and sweeter than regular strawberries. Sometimes I think they taste like strawberry candy. I also have two red-berry-producing varieties for some contrast, but they aren't as prolific.

Once the berries are finished for the season, I'll start experimenting with the leaves for tea.
