Due to the strain of posting every day for nablopomo, Laura has optioned me, the occasionally-referenced sam, to pen today's posting.

Certainly the news is last evening. A successful gathering of eight shared cake and lambic and wine. Such was our revelry that the clock quickly rounded to a time past when laura had informed her other friends of her entree to the bar scene.

Cleverly utilizing our sober drivers, we carpooled our way to The Vid. Our party of eight picked up a goodly number at The Vid. I got to see a number of friends - Caleb (one of my best buddies ever and the head brewer at Upland), Nate (another one of my best buddies), DVD, Chris, Jacob and his girlfriend, Foss, RonAnimal, and others!

More libations were had, hoop shot was played, and i got confronted by a self-admitted "dick" of a friend. I know what you're thinking: who won hoop shot? I did with a 48. I think laura came in second with a 40-something.

We closed down the bar and went our separate ways. There is more to report on fronts such as who hooked up with whom, who pissed on whom, and who rejected whom. But, in the interest of keeping this PG, i'll not get into those sordid details.
