scraps

Recently, I have been very creative and successful with reinventing my leftover food. For example, what do you do with rice and ham? Add some spinach and make a tasty risotto! How about noodles and some tomato sauce? Spicy tomato ginger noodle soup!

In my mother's house, leftovers were almost always turned into a casserole, the midwestern meal. In Japan, leftovers became fried rice. These days I tend toward soups.

My greatest challenge, however, is coming up soon - making something great out of the two items left in my refrigerator before Winter Break.

I hate you for two reasons: "Winter" and "Break"

I think I've probably expressed this before. You probably hate me for two reasons: "Pay" and "Check"

But really? I think you're the one who has it made.
