corporate creativity

The McDonald’s signs in Kyoto are not the blaring red that they are everywhere else in the world. They have been subdued to a light brown that supposedly blends in with the traditional Kyoto architecture.

Of course, brown plastic with huge white letters and sparkling golden arches is so much more discreet than red. And the huge Ronald figure painted on the side of the building makes me feel just like I’m stepping back one hundred years into the past.
