landmarks

In Japan I would often tell my friends how wonderfully flat Indiana is. I would say that there were fields and fields of corn and wheat and a mostly visible horizon. However, it seems that I need to revise my statements.

It turns out that southern Indiana is quite hilly. In fact, in the one mile between my house and campus I will need to go up and down no less than four pretty substantial hills. Getting groceries home will be even worse. The bright side to my house is that I will never get lost coming home; I live on top of a ridge next door to a huge aquamarine water tank.
