leap frog day

BBC had an article about how this day, February 29th, is out of the normal frame of time. For example, if you're being paid a salary, you're working a whole extra day this year and not being paid extra for it. Today should be a holiday. And if it were a holiday, you would be sitting around reading the internet all day. So I thought I'd share a random time-consuming website I've been introduced to lately.

Stuff White People Like

No matter what your skin type, you will agree that this person has some pretty good insights on each of the 78 entries so far. My favorite is "Threatening to Move to Canada."

You know what should be a holiday? Election Day. If you vote, you get the day off. If you don't, you have to work. That would encourage more people to vote.

As for not getting paid, those making a wage are getting paid for their work. Those making a salary, not so much.

I'm kind of offended by the white people site. It's not what white people like, it's what (relatively) wealthy people like. I hate when those two concepts are mixed.

I like Sam's idea of Election Day holiday. I think you should have to have some sort of receipt from the polling station to get the day off though. But that's probably way too involved to properly police.
