Almost two months ago I started a batch of mulberry wine. A month ago, I bottled it, promising myself that I would open it up and have a party when my MA diploma arrived in the mail. Today I got an email saying, "You should expect to receive your diploma through the US Postal Service around the week of November 24, 2008." Lovely. It takes IU three months to print my diploma.
So now I am debating what I see are my three options.
1. I just have a party now, since I got the email that says technically, I am graduated. And since I'm having the graduation party, I open the mulberry wine.
2. I have the party, but I don't open the mulberry wine. Instead, I serve up the recently fermented (but not aged) black raspberry wine.
3. I wait and have the party in November, at which point I open the mulberry wine (aged for five months) and whatever else I've made in the meantime.
Suggestions?

PARTY!!!! I say combine 2 & 3. Two Parties. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I would vote for waiting until you have it in your hands. Call me gun-shy from the whole "sure you'll get an economic stimulus check" thing.
