This weekend was my third trip to Wisconsin in as many weeks. Sam and I have now memorized the route and where the good rest areas are. The most recent trip was for the Cooler Classic Ultimate tournament in Delafield, just outside of Milwaukee. As usual, we played with the Madtown Boozehounds. We did quite well at this tournament, ending up tied for 7th in the B Bracket. It might not sound like much, but we only aspire to finish in the upper half of the rankings.
There were two highlights of the weekend. First, we were camping at a nearby state park. At about 10:30pm we got hungry. So we ordered pizza from Marty's and an hour later they delivered it to our tent in a truck with a warming oven in the back. How cool is that?
The other high point was during our second round bye on Sunday morning when we cheered TBA, an Open team from Minneapolis, to a win by playing fantasy Ultimate with their players. They thanked us for our enthusiasm as we left to go play our next game.
Lastly, it seems that someone at the ISTHMUS, a newspaper from Madison, spends their day searching blogs for mentions of Madison. My post Madcity Madtown from last week was listed in their Miscellany section on Thursday, August 7. The quote: ""Madison is quite possibly the most bike-friendly place I have ever traveled."
Slowly, I am becoming famous.

I'm sorry that I missed both of your recent Wisconsin visits. I was thinking about your match this weekend with the beautiful weather.
