make the mail carrier smile

When I was an undergrad, I went through a phase where I would draw pictures with crayons on envelopes of letters I sent to people. It was part stress reliever and part something I thought my friends would enjoy. Some of my friends would even reply with decorated envelopes as well. I had a good time.

Today someone pointed me in the direction of this webpage which features an artist's envelope art. It is much, much better than mine and uses unique postage stamps as part of the pictures. I'm quite inspired to start drawing on my envelopes again.

I enjoy using water colors, myself. I've procrastinated many assignments by first making stationery, then writing on it, then painting the envelope.

Unfortunately my creativity and artistic talent is not enough to inspire creations like the envelopes you linked to. Alas.
