Tomorrow I head up to St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota for the Midwest Conference on Asian Affairs, at which I will be presenting my lovely paper. My panel just so happens to be in the first time slot of the day, which is both good and bad.
It's good because I'll be able to get the nerve-wracking part of the conference over quickly. It's bad because I'll have gone to bed at 3am the night before after spending the entire day driving up to Minnesota. I am worried that I won't be able to get up in time to eat, iron my clothes, pick up my registration packet, and make sure that my 2007 Powerpoint presentation works on the 2000 version on the conference room's computer before it's time for me to talk.
I'm hoping that everything goes nice and smoothly and by Friday afternoon I'll have calmed down enough to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. Wish me luck!

Good luck, chicken truck!
I hope it all went well. A good friend of mine from high school went to school at St. Olaf. He seemed to really like the place. I hope it isn't too cold for you!
