wine 101: grapefruit

Grapefruit Wine
Date Started: February 11, 2009

Ingredients:
- grapefruit - 4 large, red and very ripe
- sugar - 5 cups
- yeast - 1/2 tsp.
- vessel - wide mouth glass gallon

Notes:
Grapefruit is a naturally sour fruit, but these were pretty red, sweet, and ripe, so I went with 5 cups of sugar. I hope the sourness of the grapefruit and the sugar balance each other out for a middle of the road not too sweet/not to dry wine.
Let yeast sit for 10 minutes on top before stirring in.
