La Crosse seems to like parades, as we found out at 8:30a this morning when the bagpipers started warming up in the parking lot next door. When the high school marching band drummers joined in, we decided there was nothing else to do but go out and join in the fun.The Memorial Day Parade was much the same as the St. Patrick's Day Parade - lots of people walking down the street and no floats. The highlight was definitely the German Shephard riding on top the rescue truck.
