I always say that I don't mind the cold as long as there is snow. Well, we got the snow and now we have the cold. The high today is 8 degrees and our windows are decorated with beautiful frost patterns. The heat in our building is compensating too hard for the cold outside, making our apartment a toasty 75 degrees.
The worms and I are having a hard time agreeing about where they shall live for the winter. I thought the three season porch might work if I insulated the bin, but the worms didn't like it and stopped eating. I brought them inside for now, and they seem content. I only hope that the comfy environment doesn't encourage fruit flies.
