We awoke early our first morning in Japan to a thick fog covering Kawaguchi-ko. We walked around the silent lake greeting fishermen and dog-walkers until we came to a park with this lovely view of a small temple hall surrounded by calm waters and shrouded in fog. It would be a few hours before the sun cut through the damp weather and opened up a gorgeous view of Mt. Fuji.
