spicy shepherd's pie
We haven't been spending much time in the kitchen lately with all the running around we've being doing for ultimate, curling, brewclub, and the dog. But last week I managed to scrape something together with a few random things we had sitting around.
The result was something of a Mexican shepherds pie with fake chorizo sausage, bell peppers, onions, broccoli, and chipotle pepper in the filling, a cumin-spiced crust, and pepper jack cheese on top. I quite enjoyed it.
I have to say that I am getting pretty decent at pie crusts lately, but I never use them for dessert pies. Perhaps I should...
