the end is just the beginning

The cement has dried, the gutters are up, and the truck is in the garage.  Success!  After about of month of work, we have a new garage!

Our neighbor kindly let us extend our apron through about three feet of his yard to meet up with his garage apron, which gave us the space necessary to pull into the garage without fancy maneuvers.  Backing out is another issue, but I think it will become smoother as we practice.

I spent several hours on Friday fixing up the yard that was destroyed by the many machines used in the building and cementing process, and now it is ready for some serious garden planting.  Exciting!
