All of the old cement from the old garage and the old sidewalk to the garage was removed today.  I feel a bit bad because it seems that there was a thriving ant colony underneath the sidewalk.  They have been trying desperately to get the newly uncovered eggs and larvae back underground where the sun will not harm them, but I fear our construction project has just forced colony renovation for thousands of ants.
