After an ultimate tournament these days, I often sigh longingly and wish for a Japanese-style hot spring or public bath to go soak in. I wonder, why has no one in the US opened one of these up?
Well, they finally have. Or rather, the Koreans in New York City have, and from what this NY Times articles says, it's close enough to the Japanese kind to make me envy my friends on the east coast. It's a little more pricey ($30), but it has all the amenities : hot tubs, saunas, medicinal baths, massages, tatami mats, food, swimming pools, spa clothes, and happy naked people.
The next time I visit NYC, I am definitely going to Queens and spending a few hours at the InSpa World.
