If I could just remember to charge my camera batteries, I would be able to post pictures of my apartment and of the beautiful scenery around La Crosse and La Crescent. Alas, I am somehow still sorting through things, reorganizing things, and spending lots of time walking to and from the grocery several times a day. These things have distracted me from my picture-taking obligations.
This afternoon, the weather was nice and warm (30 degrees!) so Sam and I decided to explore La Crosse's sister city across the Mississippi, La Crescent, Minnesota. Although there ended up being not much of a town to see, the landscape was gorgeous: beautiful bluffs with frozen cascades of icicles, expensive houses overlooking the coulees, and the many channels of the Upper Mississippi.
We also learned where to play disc golf, where the locals go ice fishing, and where to find the best egg rolls in town.
