just because it's pretty doesn't mean it's good

A few weeks ago, I mentioned how there is a tree in my backyard covered with a vine that bloomed with lovely little white flowers. I also mentioned how a few days later, it was bent over with their weight. Well, after those flowers died, it was obvious that the vine which bore them was destroying the tree underneath. So today I pulled that vine and a few years of its predecessors off of the tree. The result is quite amazing.



The before and after pics here show just how much of that tree was actually viney invasive thing. I came to hate it as I pulled it off of the poor suffocated tree underneath.
